What an incredible July for Lincoln Fencing Club! Athletes of all ages, weapons, and experience levels took to the strip at the Cornhusker State Games, delivering high-energy bouts, impressive sportsmanship, and unforgettable achievements. We were especially thrilled to welcome so many friends from near and far to compete alongside us!

From veteran competitors to our youngest rising stars, here’s a look back at an unforgettable tournament:

Historic Milestones in Parafencing: We witnessed history in the making with the inclusion of the first-ever parafencing event with two participating parafencers at the Cornhusker State Games! A huge shout-out to Mackenzie and Dale, whose hard work and grit shone bright as they delivered incredible performances in saber!

Iron Man & Iron Woman: A huge congratulations to our Iron Man, Brad Tucker, and Iron Woman, Charlotte Handelman! Competing across multiple events demands exceptional endurance, skill, and heart, and both of you represented Lincoln Fencing Club with absolute excellence.

A Showcase Across All Three Weapons:

• Foil: Our foilists brought sharp precision and tactical brilliance to every touch.
• Épée: The épée bouts provided edge-of-your-seat drama with masterclasses in patience, timing, and quick counter-attacks.
• Saber: High speed and explosive energy dominated the saber strips from start to finish.

The Next Generation: Our youth competitors represented Lincoln Fencing Club with tremendous heart in all three weapons, proving that the future of fencing is in great hands!
